ILD Networking Dinner in San Diego
Are you ready for a fantastic evening in Old Town San Diego?
Please join us for some fine Southern-California food and margaritas
at
Casa de Reyes

starting at 7:30pm on Friday, October 26th.
The menu includes chicken and fish, grilled veggies and vegetarian
tacos,
spicy fruit medley, and of course tortilla chips and salsa and a couple of
desserts.
The cost is $54.00 per person (includes margarita, beer, wine and
soft
drinks for the first hour, as well as tax, service and gratuity).
Reduced prices are available for adolescents and children ($7 or $13
depending on age). Please let me know if you plan to bring your
family
with you.
We need to make the final payment in advance, therefore we kindly ask you
to
send in your payment by October 10th at the very latest - i.e. the
sooner,
the better.

Please consider the possibility of asking a friend or colleague to pay

you by USD check - you can pay them back in San Diego and make our lives

If you are based in Europe or elsewhere and have absolutely no way to pay
by
check, please contact me to pay by bank transfer in EUR.
The restaurant is in Old Town, about 10 minutes from the conference hotel
by
taxi (estimated cost: $10).
Please feel free to use the ILD mailing list, this blog or our Facebook page
to
organize shared transportation.
An old-style alternative is the conference message board, which is
usually
available in the conference area foyer.
Make sure you are on time, as drinks are included for the first hour only
-
after that, you have to pay for any additional drinks.
The place is festive and the area of Old Town appears to be a lot of
fun.
The ILD dinner is a great opportunity to get to chat and unwind after a
long
conference day, enjoy some local food and spend a pleasant evening in
great
company - including ILD Distinguished Speakers, Beppe Severgnini and
Giles
Watson, who will be our guests.
If you would like to attend, please send a message to me or Roberto as
soon
as possible, letting us know if you will come alone or with some family
or
friends, and which method of payment you will use.
Please do make sure your payment is **received by October 10th** at
the
latest.
As explained, since we have to make the final payment before the event,
it
will not be possible to be added to the list at the last minute.
